Over the years, writers, artists and visitors have flocked to Chicago to tap into the energy of the city. Other artists of all disciplines have found that Chicago has always generated inspiration. One could spend years exploring Chicago's theatres, galleries, parks and museums. But this seductive scene from 1922, when West Madison Street was lined with restaurants and pre-Prohibition watering holes, suggests the romance and beauty that can be found by simply wandering the streets of Chicago.
