Go Go Sox!
When Charles Comiskey's St. Paul Saints were relocated to the South Side of Chicago in the fall of 1899 to play as the "White Stockings," it was predicted that the team would not survive past the 1900 season. The team not only survived, but walked away with a pennant that very season. The team's history has been as colorful and rambunctious as its home city's. In the 1959 season, the team was known as the Go-Go Sox for its flawless defense and jackrabbit speed on the basepaths. Throughout the pennant winning seasons and lost pennant races, division titles, and two ballparks, the White Sox remain a beloved South Side Chicago institution.
